Control Unit - Jeep Cherokee - engine control unit Bosch EDC16C2

Fault in Bosch EDC 16C2 engine control unit.

The engine occasionally fails to start. The intake fan runs at maximum speed as soon as the ignition is switched on. Faults are reported in the 5-volt circuit. The injection nozzles are not being controlled correctly. No communication can be established with the engine control unit.

Error codes:

P1630 – Driving authorisation signal
P1617 – EEPROM or faulty coding
P2123 – Injectors bank 1 – general error
P2124 - Injectors bank 2 - general error
P2364 - Control unit programming code or data is incorrect

Replacement unit for irreparable faults

If the engine control unit can no longer be repaired, we can usually supply an inexpensive used part. The data can almost always be transferred from the original to the replacement unit, eliminating the need for programming on the vehicle.
