Control Unit - Mercedes Vito W638 - engine control unit Bosch EDC15C6

Fault in Bosch EDC 15C6 engine control unit.

The immobiliser does not disengage. The engine does not start or runs very unevenly. The message ‘Start Error’ is displayed in the instrument cluster. The 5-volt circuit is faulty. The injection nozzles are not functioning correctly. Communication cannot be established with the engine control unit.

Error codes:

P1330 – Starter control (malfunction)
P1614 – EDC quantity calculation
P1617 - Eeprom or faulty coding
P1622 - ELAB
P1630 - Driving authorisation signal
P1661 - Injector voltage (voltage too low)
P1661 - Capacitor voltage 1 - Undervoltage

Replacement unit for irreparable faults

If it is no longer possible to repair the engine control unit, in most cases we can supply an inexpensive used part. The data can almost always be transferred from the original to the replacement unit, eliminating the need for programming on the vehicle.
