GPS Repairs - Seat Altea (5P) MOPF - complete failure Media System 3.2

Complete failure of the Seat Media System 3.2.

The device remains stuck on the start screen after switching on. No more functions can be selected. Radio and sound output do not work.
A warning message requests that the sat nav CD be inserted, but this does not help either.

An incorrect part number is recognised when diagnosing the vehicle.

The following other faults can be rectified:

• Radio navigation unit Media System 3.2 switches off automatically.
• Radio navigation unit Media System 3.2 switches off with a crackling/ popping noise.
• Radio navigation unit Media System 3. 2 starts up very slowly.
• Radio navigation unit Media System 3.2 can no longer be operated/ hangs up.
• The display of the radio navigation unit Media System 3.2 switches off briefly and the message "System is starting" is permanently shown on the display. The Media System 3.2 radio navigation unit remains in this state and can no longer be operated.
• The software update has failed. The Media System 3.2 radio navigation unit can no longer be operated.
• The Media System 3.2 radio navigation unit suddenly requests the PIN code.
• The Media System 3.2 radio navigation unit does not accept the PIN code.
• The display of the Media System 3.2 radio navigation unit shows "The desired language is being loaded" and remains in this state after:
  - the theft code has been entered or
  - the language setting has been changed
• Temporarily no sound output (regardless of the selected audio source).
• No sound output after the diagnosis has been completed.
• The touchscreen is without function.
• Radio navigation unit Media System 3.2 loses radio station memory.
• The station frequencies are temporarily not displayed ("--" in the display).
• SD card and/or hard drive (HDD) cannot be selected.
• DVD or CD is not recognised.
• Navigation only possible with DVD inserted.
• Navigation DVD is not or not completely copied to the hard drive (HDD).
• Radio navigation unit Media System 3.2 does not recognise its own location.
• Destination data cannot be saved or is lost.
• Navigation image is frozen. After some downtime, it is OK again.
• Log memory entry: SAECode 862 - Antenna for navigation (GPS) -R50/R52...7 - Short circuit to ground.
• No communication with the gateway control unit (log memory entry).
• No communication via CAN bus. Device does not respond to other CAN bus components such as the ignition key.
