Control Unit - Volvo C30 (M) - engine control unit Bosch EDC16C34

Fault in Bosch EDC 16C34 engine control unit.

Various faults caused by short circuits are reported. The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cannot be programmed. The immobiliser does not disengage. Communication cannot be established with the engine control unit.

Error codes:

P0400 – Exhaust gas recirculation – NA
P0401 – Exhaust gas recirculation – quantity too low
P0402 – Exhaust gas recirculation – quantity too high
P0403 - Exhaust gas recirculation (valve/power stage) - NA
P0606 - Control unit - defective
P060B - Control unit internal error - malfunction
P1613 - Control unit internal error
P1602 - Immobiliser
P1000 - OBD system tests
P1604 - EPROM data defective

Replacement unit for irreparable faults

If the engine control unit can no longer be repaired, we can usually supply an inexpensive used part. The data can almost always be transferred from the original to the replacement unit, eliminating the need for programming on the vehicle.
